Patufet

Once upon a time there was a boy as small as a chickpea, his name’s Patufet. His mother asked him to buy bread and gave him a coin that was as big as the boy. Patufet was as happy that he went singing to do shopping “men and women that heard up don’t step to Patufet…” He was singing because the people warn of his presence. But Patufent didn’t think in the animals, a big cow ate him and the Patufet came inside in the cow’s stomach. Then the sun already hiding and his parents were concerned and go out to find the boy, “Patufet where are you?” his parents shouted time after time. The Patufet that was inside the cow heard them and answered “I’m in the stomach of the cow that isn’t snowing or raining.” The boy answered time after time. After his father realized that his son was inside the cow and he began to give food to the cow, more and more food. After the cow shit and the Patufet got out. And they happily embraced them.

Patufet is a traditional story of Catalonia, almost in all households has been explaining the patufet’s story since many years ago. I remember when I was child I sat down on the flat and my mother explaining me the story, I love this remind.
