The Bruc’s drummer

In the town of Manresa began in 1808 the revolt against the French. The Napoleon’s army attacked Spain treacherously. People from all over Catalonia grouped to fight against the French but the army them were bigger. The Catalans were fighting in the Montserrat’s mountain and they were losing so suddenly a boy with a drum started to play it. Due to echo in the mountain the French thought that was a big Catalan army, and they frightened so they decided to leave. The boy that played the drum was born in Sampedor’s town and everybody was surprised of his courage.
