Many years ago in a Mountain called Montserrat there were two shepherds who guarded the flock. They were in a rocky mountain that was differently of other mountains around there. Suddenly they saw a light over them, they thought maybe was a glare. Next day they saw else the light then they decided to go to there. They discovered a cave where inside there was a beautiful statue it seemed a virgin she was black and there was a child on her lap.
The Bishop of Manresa suggested that it moved to Manresa, but the statue was discovered to be so heavy it could not be lifted. Thus the Virgin had indicated her will to stay on Montserrat to be venerated there.
Montserrat's virgin became patron of Catalonia In 1881.
